Bellbrae Preps

This term we are learning about different celebrations. Jutwa’s Mum came and told us all about celebrations in Thailand. We then made and ate some Thai style stir fry. Yum!

We really love it that the weather is getting warmer and that we can play outside in the sun. We always remember to wear our hats.

We read Possum Magic then did lots of activities about the book. We made and ate Vegemite sandwiches just like Hush had in Darwin. We then pretended to go to Hobart and had some lamingtons. Possum Magic is a great book.

Gymnastics is so much fun! We went into Geelong twice to do gymnastics. We did lots of different activities but the foam pit was the highlight for many of us.

We had a special day were we all dressed up as our favourite characters. We had a big parade. After that we watched  a special Science Show then did lots of experiments with our Buddies and children from all the other classes. it was a great day.

We finally got to perform in the Theatre in Geelong. We were very excited.

We have been so busy that we have not even had time to write on our blog! Our Buddies helped us make a circus. They look great. Thanks Buddies! One day we pretended that we were Circus performers and another day we made stewed apples. Yum!

We have been practising very hard for the music festival. We had a dress rehearsal on Friday. We were a bit nervous when we first walked into the Gym and the rest of the school started cheering.

We all had great holidays but are happy to be back at school again. We went on a maths “Treasure Hunt” and did lots of counting, estimating and sorting. It was fun. On Friday we made clown faces with lovely fresh veggies and rice cakes. They were fun to make and yummy to eat.

We had a great last week of Term 2. On Monday we went to Fairy Park. It was so much fun seeing all our favourite fairy tale characters. The Camelot Playground was exciting! On Thursday we had Parent /Teacher / Student interviews. We talked about all the great work we had done, the self-evaluation we had completed and about what we need to work on for the next 6 months.

On Friday we did crazy things to our hair. It was a fundraiser to help people with Cystic Fibrosis.
